That we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. – Romans 1:12

Life is filled with uncertainties. Today’s verse highlights the importance of living the life of faith with other followers of Christ Jesus. When you struggle with the unknown and are tempted to doubt the good plans of God for your life, other believers can offer their witness and testimony to the times that He has come through. Your encouragement of others is essential as well. It is human nature to become so focused on the problems or issues at hand that even the most devoted can lose sight of what God has already accomplished and the transformations He has done. As you pray for the president and members of his administration today, make time to reflect on the times and the ways God has rewarded and confirmed your belief in Him. Then take any opportunity that arises to share your hope to edify those around you in the faith.

As the Lord leads, pray with us…

  • For Senate Chaplain Barry Black and House Chaplain Margaret Kibben as they lead their respective chambers in prayer.
  • For believers serving in the federal government to shine the light of God’s loving and righteous character to all around them.
