VA Announces $30 Million for Formerly Homeless Veterans

Funding allocated for organizations to hire case managers.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has announced that $30 million in funding will be distributed to organizations focused on rehousing homeless veterans. The funding opportunity will allow these organizations to hire more case managers to help homeless veterans address the many hurdles standing between them and permanent housing.

“For many Veterans experiencing homelessness, moving into permanent housing is the first step toward the stability and independence they deserve,” said Secretary Denis McDonough. “But our work doesn’t stop there — these case managers help ensure that once Veterans become housed, they get the resources they need to stay housed.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary McDonough to be led by God as he oversees efforts to ensure veterans are housed.
  • For VA officials as they collaborate with HUD officials on housing programs for veterans.
