Energizing Power

For it is God who works in you; both to will and to work for his good pleasure.   Philippians 2:13

Always remember that you are at war! It is an onslaught that is continuous, requiring constant awareness to not only maintain under the attack but move forward.

There is a daily battle with your own flesh, the outside forces of the world, and the devil who is very much alive. There is a reason Paul tells you to “put on the whole armor of God” (Ephesians 6:11). But be encouraged! Once you confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, He takes up residence in you.

You now have dual roles to play: one is for you to trust the Lord. Your active role is to take the necessary steps to grow in the knowledge of Him and to allow the Holy Spirit to produce His fruit in you (Galatians 5:22-23). Steady immersion in God’s Word will acquaint you with His desires for you. The glorious blessing is that the energizing power of God within you will give you all that you need to accomplish what He calls you to do.

Commit to a faith that grows and serves others. Seek the Lord and connect with Him so that you know His voice and He may work through you. Trust Him to guide, direct and give you strength. Then, pray for the faithful who govern this nation to make their motto “trust and obey.“ There is no other way!
