Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life, whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” – John 6:35
If you have been seriously ill or in great distress, you may have had a moment when everything changed. Perhaps you discovered a treatment that worked, or you found a new understanding in your circumstances, and it made all the difference.
A large crowd followed Jesus for a while. They were intrigued by His insightful teaching and enjoyed the free food that seemed to miraculously appear at His gatherings. One day shortly after this kind of event out in the wilderness, a group of religious people approached Him asking, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” (John 6:28). They wanted to feed thousands also, and have crowds listen to their teachings. Jesus responded plainly, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him who He has sent” (John 6:29). The followers understood He was not sharing the secret to a food trick, but instead He was claiming to be God’s nourishment and provision for their spiritual needs. Some began to grumble and leave Him because they wanted a miraculous sign to display, not a humble knowledge of God through Jesus, His Son.
Today, God has heard your prayers for provision in your life and for the nation. He is answering your requests the same way He did back then in the wilderness. The revelation of His Son is what you need most! Pray for those working in the nation’s government to recognize the Savior and so pursue God’s blessing upon America. Ask that many will seek and accept Him, and discover in doing so that knowing Him makes all the difference!

55 “Come, everyone who thirsts,
come to the waters;
and he who has no money,
come, buy and eat!
Come, buy wine and milk
without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread,
and your labor for that which does not satisfy?
Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good,
and delight yourselves in rich food.
3 Incline your ear, and come to me;
hear, that your soul may live;
and I will make with you an everlasting covenant,
my steadfast, sure love for David.
4 Behold, I made him a witness to the peoples,
a leader and commander for the peoples.
5 Behold, you shall call a nation that you do not know,
and a nation that did not know you shall run to you,
because of the Lord your God, and of the Holy One of Israel,
for he has glorified you.
6 “Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near;
