Today, President Joe Biden will welcome Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands to the White House. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby called the Netherlands “a very key supporter of security assistance in Ukraine.”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated, “The leaders will talk about a range of issues essential to strengthening democracy, respect for human rights, and the rules-based international order around the world, including as co-hosts of the upcoming second Summit for Democracy. They will also discuss our cooperation on critical technologies and shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific.“

Spokesman Kirby said the United States, the Netherlands, Costa Rica, South Korea, and Zambia will cohost the Summit for Democracy in late March.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and Dutch prime minister as they discuss the war in Ukraine and other concerns.
  • For discernment for President Biden and his advisors as they make international commitments.
  • For U.S. and allied officials as they continue to support Ukraine.
