President Approves West Coast Disaster Declarations

The states of California and Washington are trying to recover from severe storms.

President Joe Biden approved disaster declarations for the states of Washington and California this week. Both states have suffered from severe storms, mudslides, and flooding and will receive federal assistance in recovery efforts.

FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell named Andrew Grant as the federal coordinating officer for efforts in California and David Gervino as the coordinator for recovery in Washington.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the president as he considers requests for assistance from states experiencing natural disasters.
  • For FEMA Administrator Criswell to be discerning as she oversees disaster assistance from the federal government.
  • For the appointed federal coordinators as they render aid to the respective states.
