President and Family Visit St. Croix for New Year’s

He is the first president to visit USVI since Truman in 1948.

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden traveled to St. Croix, the U.S Virgin Islands. They will spend the New Year holiday there with members of their family.

The Biden family has spent the New Year holiday on the Big Island multiple times, including when Mr. Biden was vice president in both 2015 and 2016. This is his first visit to the Caribbean since his inauguration.

President Biden intends to discuss his plans to run for reelection with the family during this vacation. The president is scheduled to return to the White House on January 2.

President Harry Truman was the last sitting president to visit the Virgin Islands. He gave a speech from Christiansted in 1948.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden to seek God’s guidance regarding his political future.
  • For safety for the president and first family as they visit the U.S. Virgin Islands.
