Thursday, December 15

Today is the third and final day of the U.S.-Africa summit. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan stated that today “is dedicated to high-level discussions among leaders, with President Biden opening the day with a session on partnering on Agenda 2063, the African Union’s strategic vision for the continent.“

Advisor Sullivan continued, “A working lunch by Vice President Harris will follow that session. And then the president will close the day with a discussion on food security and food systems resilience, which… is a critical issue for our African partners, who have been disproportionately impacted by the rise in food and fertilizer prices and disruptions to global supply chains as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to seek the Lord’s guidance as he outlines partnerships with African nations.
  • For discernment for the vice president as she holds the working lunch.
  • For U.S. and African officials as they seek to strengthen the food supply and food systems of the African continent.
