Today is the beginning of the U.S.-Africa leaders’ summit. The State Department announced that the summit “will demonstrate the United States’ enduring commitment to Africa, and will underscore the importance of U.S.-Africa relations and increased cooperation on shared global priorities.“

President Joe Biden is hosting leaders from the African continent today in Washington, D.C. The president stated, “I look forward to working with African governments, civil society, diaspora communities across the United States, and the private sector to continue strengthening our shared vision for the future of U.S.-Africa relations.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the president as he greets and hosts the leaders from Africa.
  • For the U.S. and African officials taking part in the summit to be prudent in their discussions.
  • For discernment for administration officials as they seek to strengthen ties with African nations.
