Transportation Loans Repair Minnesota Rural Highways

Rural Projects Initiative funds projects set to be completed by 2024.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that they have approved a loan for the reconstruction of Minnesota’s Highway 14. The Build America Bureau has approved Minnesota’s first low-interest transportation loan of $48.2 million to allow the state to begin the construction of the project, turning 12 miles of road into a four-lane, divided highway. The project also includes a new interchange and is expected to be completed by 2024.

“The project will enhance safety and reduce travel time, improving access to vital services for communities on the corridor. These improvements will both provide a higher quality of life for rural Minnesotans and save lives,” said Deputy Transportation Secretary Polly Trottenberg.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Deputy Secretary Trottenberg to seek God’s direction as she fills her role in the Transportation Department.
  • For Secretary Buttigieg as he oversees the department and awarding of funding to infrastructure projects.
  • For U.S. transportation officials as they evaluate and review the nation’s highway safety needs and regulations.
