DOT Announces Funding for Louisiana Rebuilding

$40 million will fund ferry project and statewide bridge program.

The Department of Transportation (DOT) announced last week that $40.9 million in low-interest loans will be provided for two projects being constructed by the Louisiana Department of Transportation. A $19.2 million loan was approved for the Cameron Parish Ferry project, and a $21.7 million loan was approved for the Statewide Bridge Program, which is working to replace 11 structurally deficient bridges.

“DOT’s support for these ferry and bridge projects will help Louisiana keep people, goods, and services moving across the state,” said Deputy Transportation Secretary Polly Trottenberg. “We are excited to support Louisiana’s efforts to improve infrastructure, connectivity, and safety for rural communities.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Deputy Secretary Trottenberg to be led by God as she fills her role in the Transportation Department.
  • For wisdom for federal transportation officials as they determine into which projects to invest government funding.
