HHS Announces $4.5 Billion for Winter Heating Costs

The program helps subsidize heating for over 5 million households

The Department of Health and Human Services has announced $4.5 billion to help low- to middle-income families pay for their heating bills this year. The funds will be distributed through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, a program that supported the energy needs of 5.3 million American households in the last year alone.

“For more than 40 years, this program has helped low-income families pay their home heating and cooling bills,” said Secretary Xavier Becerra. “As heating costs increase, it is more important than ever to help families struggling to make ends meet. With this funding, we will help protect the health and well-being of Americans by keeping them safe and warm this winter.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Lord’s will to be accomplished.
