House Speaker’s Husband Assaulted in Home Invasion

The assailant is in custody.

A spokesperson for Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi reported that her husband Paul was wounded early Friday morning when the assailant broke into the Pelosi residence in San Francisco. The House speaker was not at home in San Francisco when the attack occurred.

“The assailant is in custody and the motivation for the attack is under investigation. Mr. Pelosi was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery,” he said.

The San Francisco police confirmed the attack and they are now working cooperatively with the Capitol police and special agents from the FBI. The attack comes amid an increase in threats against members of Congress and a series of security incidents over the summer.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For healing for the House speaker’s husband.
  • For law enforcement at the federal and local levels as they investigate the attack.
  • For protection for U.S. governing officials and that the Lord would bring unity and reduce tensions within the nation.
