DHS Kicks Off Cybersecurity Awareness Month

Secretary Mayorkas highlights agencies and grants for cyber defense.

The Department of Homeland Security kicked off Cybersecurity Awareness Month this week, highlighting the agencies, grants, and initiatives that seek to create a safer cyberspace. Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas was joined by the Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Jen Easterly and Under Secretary for Policy Robert Silvers in sharing this focus of the department’s work.

“From the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency to the Coast Guard, from the Secret Service to the Transportation Security Administration, the Department of Homeland Security is strengthening our partnerships with the private sector and informing the American people how best to secure their cyber footprint in an increasingly interconnected world,” said Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
