Members of the Senate are working to finalize legislation on a stopgap government funding measure. On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York moved to advance the budget bill so that a test vote can be made in the coming week. The legislation will require support from at least 60 senators to pass.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his administration as they evaluate the issues that are facing the nation.
  • For wisdom for the secretary of state as he meets with foreign ministers.
  • For members of the Senate to have discernment as they deliberate the spending legislation.
