Pentagon Announces Additional $675 Million for Ukraine

This marks the twentieth drawdown of equipment by President Biden’s administration.

The Department of Defense has authorized additional weaponry worth $675 million to be sent to help in Ukraine’s defense last week. The aid will include rockets, howitzers, mines, missiles, 100 armored vehicles, 5,000 anti-armor systems, grenade launchers, small arms, 50 armored medical treatment vehicles, millions of ammunition rounds, and various field equipment to support Ukraine’s defense. This is the twentieth round of equipment sent to Ukraine since August 2021.

“In total, the United States has committed approximately $15.2 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since January 2021,” the Defense Department press secretary stated. “To meet Ukraine’s evolving battlefield requirements, the United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with key capabilities.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Austin to be wise in his leadership of the American military.
  • For the president and Joint Chiefs as they provide support to Ukraine.
  • For leaders of the U.S. Armed Forces as they assess this nation’s military equipment needs.
