President Pledges Airport Improvements

He says the investments will create 6,000 jobs.

President Biden traveled to Boston’s Logan Airport on Monday to highlight a $62 million investment being made there through the infrastructure plan passed last year by Congress. At Logan, the funds will be used to modernize the international terminal and improve taxiways that keep planes circulating.

The president stated that the nationwide investments will create nearly 6,000 jobs and will help add more ticket counters, cut down on time for passengers trying to make connections, and reduce the time planes spend idling on the tarmac, cutting emissions in the process.

“Not a single solitary American airport, not one, ranks in the top 25 in the world,” President Biden said. “The United States of America, not one airport ranks in the top 25 in the world. … It means commerce. It means income. It means security. And we don’t even rank in the top 25.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to seek God’s wisdom as he and his administration support the updating of U.S. airports.
  • For U.S. transportation officials as they assess the necessary improvements to air travel infrastructure.
  • That Administrator Dickson would have insight as he leads the Federal Aviation Administration.
