Answer – A.  It was Flag Day 1954 when President Eisenhower signed a law passed by Congress that added the words “under God” after “one nation” into the pledge of allegiance. Two years later, he signed a law officially declaring “In God We Trust” to be the national motto, mandating that it be printed on all American paper currency.
