President Joe Biden is scheduled to remain at the family residence in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. He has no public events on his schedule at this time. First Lady Jill Biden has recovered from COVID-19 and, having tested negative for the second time over the weekend, will leave Kiawah Island, South Carolina, to join the president in Delaware.

Ahead of the week, President Biden had a phone call with President Emmanuel Macron of France, Chancellor Olaf Scholz of Germany, and Prime Minister Boris Johnson of the United Kingdom regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and the Russian invasion. Concerns increased as recent military activity escalated in close proximity to the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant.

The four heads of state highlighted “the need to avoid military operations near the plant and the importance of an IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) visit as soon as feasible to ascertain the state of safety systems,” said White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. This week, the president is expected to continue coordinating with regional partners concerning the ongoing conflict.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to protect the health of the president and the first family this week.
  • For the president and administration officials to seek God’s guidance as they navigate complex foreign policy issues with regional partners.
  • For God to make clear the path for the president as he and administration officials seek a peaceful end to the conflict in Ukraine.
