Group of Representatives Call for EV Charging Stations

They suggest combining charging stations with broadband infrastructure.

Ten members of the House have urged President Biden’s administration to use finances from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to build electric vehicle charging stations connected to broadband internet infrastructure. Representatives Doris Matsui and Anna Eshoo claim that combining charging stations with broadband connectivity will help with finances and provide internet to both electric vehicles and the communities around them.

“As federal agencies, states, and relevant stakeholders develop plans for a robust electric vehicle (EV) charging network across the country, we urge you to consider the connectivity requirements for EV supply equipment (EVSE) as well as the benefits of co-locating EVSE with infrastructure that can also be utilized to deploy broadband,” wrote the legislators.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For members of the House as they seek to make efficient use of infrastructure funding.
  • For the president and his administration as they promote the charging station infrastructure.
