Today, President Joe Biden has no public events on his schedule at this time and is continuing to isolate in the White House. Physician to the President Dr. Kevin O’Connor said that the president tested negative for COVID-19 on Saturday, but “in an abundance of caution, the president will continue his strict isolation measures pending a second negative test as previously described.” When speaking about the president’s health, Dr O’Connor added, “The president continues to feel very well. Given his rebound positivity which we reported last Saturday, we have continued daily monitoring.”

The Senate is debating the Inflation Reduction Act after clearing the initial simple majority vote on Saturday. Further details of the bill are up for debate and the Senate will make additional amendments before hosting a final vote. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on Saturday, “No matter how long it takes, the Senate is going to stay in session to finish this bill.” He added, “We are not leaving until the job is done.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president’s health to continue to improve following his case of COVID-19.
  • For the members of the Senate as they work out the amendments of the Inflation Reduction Act.
  • For God to be at work through the president and administration officials as they prepare for the week ahead.
