USDA Invites Public to Second Urban Agriculture Meeting

Federal Advisory Committee will discuss urban conservation and new focus areas.

Last week, the Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued an invitation for urban agriculture enthusiasts to attend a public meeting on August 5 hosted by the Federal Advisory Committee for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production. This is the second meeting hosted by the committee, where they will discuss the upcoming direction of efforts to support urban agriculture and conservation.

“Working with the Committee, USDA will develop strategies to address the needs of urban agricultural producers and promote innovative production, strengthen local food systems, and increase equity and access to healthy, local food,” said Brian Guse, Director of USDA’s Office of Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Director Brian Guse as he oversees the conservation and development efforts of his office.
  • For Secretary Vilsack to seek God’s direction as he heads the USDA.
  • For federal officials seeking to improve food supply security.
