President Speaks about Assault Weapons and Police Support

He states that assault weapons make the job of the police more dangerous.

President Biden spoke virtually at the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) this week, regarding a failed federal ban on assault weapons. NOBLE supported the 1994 ban on assault weapons, and President Biden claimed that it is inconsistent to be both pro-assault weapons and pro-police.

“Being a cop today is… a lot harder than it’s ever been. We expect everything of you. Maybe worst of all, we send you out to do your job on the streets flooded with weapons of war,” President Biden said. “If you can’t support banning weapons of war on American streets, you’re not on the side of police,” he added.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to seek wisdom from God regarding gun reform policies.
  • For members of Congress as they consider firearm-related legislation.
  • For the safety of federal, state, and local law enforcement as they carry out their duties.
