Chairman of Joint Chiefs Orders US-China Review

Seeks detailed understanding of all interactions

This past week, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley ordered a formal review be conducted into all military interactions between the United States and China. The general said enough “unsafe” and “unprofessional” interactions between the two militaries have occurred that all communications with the Chinese military need to be looked at with new, discerning eyes.

“China has been on the rise, economically and militarily, for more than a decade. They’ve become more bold in the Pacific,” General Milley stated. “Maintaining open lines of communication and managing competition will reduce strategic risk. The U.S. military’s focus is on modernization and readiness. Our network of partners and allies is a source of strength.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for General Milley as he heads the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
  • For U.S. Pentagon officials as they oversee a review of all communication between China and America.
  • For the president to seek God’s guidance regarding interactions with China, both military and diplomatic.
