Two U.S. Hypersonic Missile Tests Succeed

Hypersonic weapon development is a Pentagon priority.

The Department of Defense announced that it has successfully conducted two hypersonic missile systems tests.  The Air Force said that it successfully conducted an Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon Booster Test Flight-3 and that “the AGM-183A weapons system reached hypersonic speeds and primary and secondary objectives were met.” The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) made a similar announcement.

DoD’s development of hypersonic weapons has been a priority, as the United States has fallen behind China, which has significantly increased its military capabilities in recent years.

DARPA also announced that it successfully launched an OpFires missile test from a logistics truck as a medium-range missile launcher. The goal is for regular military trucks to have the ability to deploy hypersonic payloads.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Director Stefanie Tomkins as she heads the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
  • For Secretary Austin to seek God’s wisdom as he leads the Defense Department.
  • That the president would look to the Lord for wisdom in his position as commander in chief.
