President Meets with G7 Leaders in Europe

Supporting Ukraine in the midst of domestic stress.

President Joe Biden began his trip to Europe last weekend, meeting with the Group of Seven (G-7) nations in Germany ahead of the NATO Summit in Madrid, Spain. The topic of both meetings will be Russia’s war on Ukraine, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expected to address both summits. Global leaders will be presenting a series of proposals that the nations can use to address Russia’s aggression and the impact it has had on the economy.

On Monday, the White House press secretary announced the G7 statement of support for Ukraine, which includes “significant new sanctions commitments to further intensify our economic measures against Russia.” The president then released the proclamation of increased tariffs on hundreds of Russian imports.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the heads of the G7 nations as they collaborate on support for Ukraine.
  • For the Lord’s will to be accomplished at the NATO summit.
  • For wisdom for the president and his administration as they weigh international and domestic needs and priorities.
