President Meets with NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg

They discuss matters surrounding the defense alliance.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris met with NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Thursday at the White House. They began to prepare for the June 29-30 NATO Summit in Madrid, where a main topic of discussion will be Russia’s war on Ukraine and how that has impacted the status of NATO’s policies and defenses.

All leaders expressed support for Finland and Sweden’s applications for NATO membership, and President Biden advocated strongly for a rapid acceptance process for everyone’s benefit. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan later met with Secretary General Stoltenberg to discuss additional security concerns.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to seek God’s direction as he prepares for the NATO Summit in Madrid later this month.
  • That the president would be led by the Lord as he discusses the applications of Sweden and Finland to NATO with other world leaders.
  • For wisdom for National Security Advisor Sullivan as he evaluates information gathered by the intelligence community.
