DOT Invests $450 million into University Transportation

Makes 35 grants open for competitive application

The Department of Transportation opened competitive applications last week for its University Transportation Centers (UTC) program. Thirty-five UTC awards are available, which will distribute a total of $450 million to grant recipients from the fiscal year 2022 through 2026. Applicants must submit proposals that show thorough research into the transportation solutions needed for their consortium.

“I am inspired by the cutting-edge transportation technologies our UTCs are developing,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “With this investment, we’ll be able to support a new generation of visionary leaders and advance research that will help to transform our transportation system with safer, cleaner, more accessible ways for people and goods to move in this country.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Buttitigieg as he implements the administration’s university transportation program.
  • For wisdom for transportation officials as they seek innovative transportation alternatives.
