Russia and China Hold Joint Drill

Display of military airpower occurred during President Biden’s trip to Japan.

On Tuesday, during President Biden’s trip to Asia, Russia and China flew a joint military exercise that included nuclear-capable bombers. The exercise demonstrated how both nations remain close even as the Russian-Ukraine conflict continues.

A senior administration official described it as the most significant cooperation between the two nations since Russia invaded Ukraine in February.

“The exercise shows that China is continuing its military cooperation with Russia in the Indo-Pacific even as Russia brutalizes Ukraine,” the official said. “It also shows that Russia will stand with China in the East and South China Seas, not with other Indo-Pacific states.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to seek the Lord’s guidance as the U.S. interacts with both allied and hostile nations.
  • For NSA Sullivan have wisdom in assessing intelligence and advising the president.
  • For U.S. officials in the Departments of State and Defense as they evaluate threats from Russia and China.
