Senators Urge Solar Power Probe Finalization

Bipartisan group sends open letter to President Biden.

A letter signed by 23 senators was released to the public this week that calls on President Biden to conclude its investigation into solar parts imports as expeditiously as possible. The Commerce Department announced the investigation in March and communicated last week that they have not yet been able to determine if there is active circumvention happening within the industry or not.

The senators are concerned that additional time spent reviewing the case could damage the American solar sector that President Biden’s administration is working so hard to build.

“We strongly urge your administration to swiftly review the case and make an expedited preliminary determination,” the senators’ letter states. “Such a determination should carefully consider the significant policy ramifications and reject the petitioner’s request for retroactivity.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Raimondo to respond promptly with information regarding the solar import issue.
  • For the president and his administration as concerns remain surrounding import circumvention.
