U.S. Job Openings Hit Record High

More people are also quitting jobs.

The Department of Labor released its report on the employment market in March. Job openings and the number of times workers have quit reached the highest levels on record that month, they said.

The department reported a seasonally adjusted 11.5 million job openings in March, an increase from 11.3 million the prior month. The number of times workers quit their jobs rose to 4.5 million in the same month, slightly higher than the previous record in November of last year.

The gap between open jobs and available workers hit 5.6 million, another new high. That represents an increase of 152,000 from the prior month as the so-called Great Resignation continues.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For officials in the Labor Department as they track and report employment data and trends.
  • For the president and his administration to seek God’s wisdom in supporting the kob market.
