Administration to Remove Healthcare Conscience Rights

The rulemaking procedure is underway at HHS.

President Biden’s administration is preparing to propose an end to the religious conscience rule that allows healthcare workers to refuse to perform services that contradict their religious or moral beliefs, such as abortions or gender transitions.

The Department of Health and Human Services is “in the rulemaking process,” and they could announce an end to the policy from President Trump’s administration in the form of proposed rule changes as soon as this month. The decision is under review at the Office of Management and Budget, which supervises federal agencies and administers the federal budget.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For OMB officials reviewing the proposed removal of religious conscience protections for medical professionals and health care workers.
  • For the president and his administration to seek God’s wisdom as they set health care policy.
  • For Secretary Becerra to look to the Lord for guidance as he implements the president’s agenda.
