U.S. Commits $53 Million More to Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis

Distributed through the U.S. Agency for International Development.

Vice President Kamala Harris announced that the United States is contributing an additional $53 million to aid humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. The money will be distributed through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to help organizations meet practical needs for Ukrainian citizens, such as emergency food distribution and health supplies.

“To date, two million people have been forced to flee Ukraine due to the conflict, and an estimated one million are displaced inside Ukraine,” the vice president’s office stated. “At least 12 million people are in need of humanitarian aid across Ukraine. The United States continues to stand with the people of Ukraine and will continue to work to meet immediate needs and save lives.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the officials of USAID as they deliver humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
  • For discernment for the vice president as she interacts with international leaders regarding various issues.
  • For wisdom for the president and his administration as foreign policies are crafted and implemented.
