Set Free

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!  – Psalm 150:6

There is no way to imagine how perfect the Garden of Eden was at the time of creation. Vegetation was plentiful and was watered by God’s own mist (Genesis 2:6). Its yields were sufficient for man and beast. There was harmony among the animals, for all ate of the vegetation (Genesis 1:30). That all came to an end when sin entered the world – disobedience has a way of turning things upside down.

Thereafter, thorns and thistles invaded the crops of the field. Sin caused pain and discomfort in everyday living. In the animal kingdom, a fear of humans entered the scene. Particularly evident in the last couple of years, humankind also became creatures of fear.

But God sent His Son to return humanity from the discordant notes of sin to a life of harmony. The Lord Jesus Christ conquered Satan on the cross. Because of Christ’s willing sacrifice, all of creation will be set free from the bondage of corruption.

Redemption should lift your heart and voice in praise to God. He is the God of mercy and grace – the One with whom fellowship gives life and peace no matter the situation. There will be a time when all creation, humans and animals and angels in heaven, will shout praises to the Lord. Until that time, pray for this nation and its leaders who have yet to know Jesus as their Savior. Pray for those who love God and seek to serve Him. Then, as you have breath, praise the Lord for all He has done for you. He is worthy!

Today’s Verse:  Psalm 150:6

11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”

13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.
