Senators Meet with Polish Officials

Set to discuss Russian aggression in Eastern Europe.

Senators Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, Chris Coons of Delaware, and Dick Durbin of Illinois traveled to Poland Monday to meet with President Andrzej Duda, as well as Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Błaszczak and the U.S. ambassadors to Poland and Belarus. They discussed the escalating Russian aggression and how the U.S. can collaborate with partners in eastern Europe to help secure their countries.

“Poland is an important U.S. and NATO ally and I’m glad to be on the ground with our partners to address the urgent security crisis facing the region due to Putin’s escalating provocations,” Senator Shaheen stated. “Europe’s security matters to the United States, both due to our trusted partnerships as well the implications for how Putin may continue to lash out at democracies and the West.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
