Restaurant Association Requests More COVID Support

Writes Congress to strongly encourage renewal of Restaurant Rescue Fund.

When the American Rescue Plan was passed in 2021, $28.6 billion of the spending package was given to the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RFF). The Omicron variant emerged as that funding was running out. This week the National Restaurant Association wrote a letter to congressional leaders urging them to renew the RFF.

“The RRF was a critical lifeline to many, but far more remain on the sidelines, desperately looking for support amid continued economic uncertainty,” Sean Kennedy, the group’s top lobbyist, wrote. “The decisions you make in the coming weeks will be critical to the future of the nation’s restaurant industry.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For members of Congress as they consider the National Restaurant Association’s request.
  • For wisdom for legislators as they consider additional spending bills.
  • For U.S. governing officials and economic advisors as they evaluate and assess the federal budget and national spending needs.
