Supreme Court Will Consider Mandates Friday

Special session called on vaccine-and-testing mandates.

The Supreme Court will hold a special session on Friday to consider whether President Biden’s administration can enforce vaccine-and-testing rules for large private employers and a vaccine mandate for most healthcare workers. The justices are expected to make a decision swiftly that could freeze the mandates on businesses with more than 100 workers, along with the threat of fines, or to let the president’s plan to be implemented.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), which regulates workplace safety, has said it could begin fining businesses that fail to comply with the mandates on January 10, Monday. A business can be fined $13,600 per violation. OSHA is expected to mostly enforce the mandate through employee complaints.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the Supreme Court justices as they weigh both sides of the mandate issue.
  • For wisdom for federal health officials as they set policy and issue guidelines regarding the coronavirus.
  • For the president and his Cabinet to seek God’s leading as they craft various rules and regulations.
