President Approves State of Emergency for Colorado Wildfires

Federal aid made available to supplement recovery.

President Biden declared a state of emergency for Boulder County, Colorado, after nearly 1,000 homes have been destroyed by a wildfire this past week. The National Guard has been sent in to aid in organization and rebuilding, providing shelter and heat for the many homeless residents struggling to weather single digit temperatures.

“The President’s action makes Federal funding available to affected individuals in Boulder County,” the White House press secretary stated. “Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president as he makes emergency declarations due to natural disasters.
  • For stamina for National Guard and Red Cross members aiding Boulder County.
  • That Boulder County residents would quickly benefit from the grants that the federal government has provided for this emergency.
