White House Schedules Biden-Putin Talk Thursday

Situation on Ukraine border tops the agenda.

A spokesperson for the National Security Council said Wednesday that President Joe Biden will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday. The two leaders are expected to discuss a range of topics, including upcoming diplomatic engagements with Russia over Ukraine.

Washington continues to work with allies on a common response to Russia’s military build-up on the Ukraine border. President Biden has spoken with leaders across Europe about the situation on the Ukraine Border, while officials in his administration have been in touch with NATO, the European Union, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

“The Biden administration continues to engage in extensive diplomacy with our European allies and partners, consulting and coordinating on a common approach in response to Russia’s military build-up on the border with Ukraine,“ said Emily Horne, spokesperson for the National Security Council.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden as he engages in a diplomatic talk with President Putin.
  • For U.S. officials seeking to lessen the Russian threat on the border with Ukraine.
