Secretary Blinken conveys gratitude to South African minister.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke with South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Naledi Pandor on Christmas Eve regarding the U.S. lifting the travel restrictions that had been placed due to the Omicron variant.

State Department Spokesman Ned Price stated, “The Secretary again thanked South Africa’s scientists and government for their transparency and expertise. He emphasized the importance of the longstanding partnership between the United States and South Africa to combat the impacts of COVID-19.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors as they consider strategies to reduce the spread of the virus.
  • For wisdom for Secretary Blinken as he oversees diplomatic efforts around the world.
