Commerce Department Announces Microelectronics Advisory Committee

The committee will bring together industry experts to help form federal policy.

On December 1, the Department of Commerce revealed that they were beginning the process of recruiting candidates for a new Industrial Advisory Committee. This committee hopes to gather together experts in microelectronics and their manufacturing process to help advise the United States on matters relating to their research, development, and legislative policy.

“We have an immense opportunity to strengthen U.S. competitiveness in microelectronics, but this is no simple task,” said Deputy Secretary Don Graves. “Advances in standards, materials, instrumentation, measurement, testing and manufacturing capabilities are needed to help design, develop and manufacture next-generation microelectronics. I look forward to learning from the expertise on this committee to guide us in making tangible progress.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to direct the leaders in the Department of Commerce as they look to secure the nation’s economic future.
  • That God would call the right people to fill the seats in this developing advisory committee.
  • For the Department of Commerce as they see this overarching strategy through on the ground level.
