President Joe Biden remains in Nantucket today and is scheduled to return to Washington, D.C., tomorrow. At this time, he has no public events on his agenda.

U.S. officials have been closely monitoring the situation between Ukraine and Russia as the latter has been taking an aggressive stance.

National Security Council spokesperson Emily Horne shared a summary of a call that took place between the U.S. and Ukraine on Friday. She stated, “National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke today with Head of Presidential Administration Andriy Yermak of Ukraine about recent events. They discussed their shared concerns about ongoing Russian military activities near Ukraine’s border and its harsh rhetoric towards Ukraine. They agreed that all sides should pursue diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions. Mr. Sullivan underscored the United States’ unwavering commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president to seek God’s wisdom in responding to the circumstances between Ukraine and Russia.
  • For discernment for Jake Sullivan as he advises the president on national security.
  • For U.S. diplomats and intelligence agents as they fulfill their duties and do their part to protect the country and support its allies.
