Dr. Fauci Appears Before Senate Health Committee

Fields questions regarding gain-of-function.

Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has overseen much of the pandemic response, testified in a hearing before the Senate Health Committee on Thursday. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, also a doctor, suggested Dr. Fauci had the definition of gain-of-function research on his department’s website to shield himself from responsibility regarding the COVID-19 outbreak.

“The preponderance of evidence points to this coming from a lab,” Senator Paul said.

Dr. Fauci responded that misrepresentations had been made regarding the situation. “I have no responsibility for the current pandemic,” he stated.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the members of the Senate Health Committee as they seek answers regarding gain-of-function research.
  • For Dr. Fauci and others at the National Institutes of Health as U.S. funding for research comes into question.
  • For families who have lost loved ones or experienced other traumas because of the virus.
