Bureau of Land Management Director Sworn-In

Director Stone-Manning is “ready to get to work.”

On Wednesday, Tracy Stone-Manning was officially sworn in as the Director of the Bureau of Land Management by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland. The new director was confirmed by the Senate at the end of last month by a vote of 50-to-45 and began serving in her role on October 7. Director Stone-Manning said upon her swearing-in, “Our public lands are one of America’s finest ideas, and I am ready to get to work alongside a remarkable team to ensure our outdoor spaces are protected for current and future generations to enjoy.”

Secretary Haaland expressed her thoughts about the start of Director Stone-Manning’s tenure saying, “The Bureau of Land Management plays a critical role in Interior’s efforts to address the climate crisis, expand public access to our public lands, create a clean energy future, and preserve our nation’s shared outdoor heritage. Tracy brings a wealth of knowledge in conservation and environmental policy to these efforts and a history of working with diverse communities in service to our public lands.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • That Director Stone-Manning would seek God’s guidance as she begins her new role.
  • For Secretary Haaland to look to the Lord for wisdom in leading the Interior Department.
  • That President Biden would rely on God’s direction to appoint the best people to his administration.
