President Travels to California Ahead of Recall Vote

Supports Governor Newsom as Californians go to the polls.

On Monday, President Biden traveled to California to offer his support to Governor Newsom, who is currently facing a recall vote. Governor Newsom is the fourth governor in U.S history to face a recall vote. His leading opponent is conservative attorney, author, and talk show host Larry Elder, who would be California’s first black governor if he wins the election.

The president expressed the importance of the vote saying, “The eyes of the nation are on California.” He also said the recall vote was “going to reverberate around the nation and around the world.” The president pointed to key issues including COVID-19 response, reproductive rights, and climate change as a reason to support Governor Newsom moving forward.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For God to work His purpose in the result of the recall election.
  • For safety for the president during his travels.
  • For the president and his administration as efforts are made to reform elections and voting.
