U.S. Space Force Establishing STARCOM

The branch’s doctrine, training, test, and education to located at Peterson SFB in Colorado.

The U.S. Space Force is establishing Space Training and Readiness Command this week. Known as STARCOM, the organization with manage doctrine, training, test, and education for the youngest branch of the U.S. military. Brigadier General Shawn Bratton of the National Guard Bureau will head the new field command.

This organization comes into being a little over a week after the official Space Systems Command was created to replace the Space and Missile Systems Center for Space Force purchasing and acquisition. STARCOM will be activated on Monday, August 23, at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
