Interior Secretary Visits Redwood National Park

She stresses the importance of ecological protection.

Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland and White House Council on Environmental Quality Chair Brenda Mallory both traveled to California this past week to express the commitment of the president’s administration to a clean natural environment. Both expressed the importance of protecting California’s forests from the effects of climate change causing worse fire seasons over the last decade.

Secretary Haaland expressed the importance of protecting the environment saying, “Nature is essential to the health, well-being, and prosperity of every family and every community in America. It’s exciting to see the local partnerships in action that ensure future generations get to experience the wonder of the Redwoods, as we do today. This is the kind of collaboration that we are hoping to support across the country to conserve, connect and restore our lands and waters.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For officials in the Interior Department as they seek to preserve the beauty of God’s creation.
  • That Secretary Haaland to look to the Lord for direction as she leads the Interior Department well.
