Sunday, August 8

The president will spend the morning in Delaware and is scheduled to return to the White House at midday. President Biden has no public events on his agenda at this time.

On Friday, the president’s administration announced that the pause on payments for federal student loans would be extended for the final time. The measure that was supposed to expire as of September will now carry through January of 2022.

When asked about the federal unemployment benefits that are also set to end in September, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said, ” Nothing has changed on that front, but a final decision has not been made.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Biden as he evaluates measures to shore up the American economy and employment.
  • For officials in the Department of Education as they continue the pause on federal student loan payments.
  • For discernment for administration officials as the federal unemployment benefits near their conclusion.
