DOJ Launches Probe into Phoenix Police

This is the third Pattern-of-Practice investigation by the president’s administration.

On Thursday the Justice Department announced that it would be launching an investigation probe into the Phoenix police department due to civil complaints. The Justice Department will work to determine if a pattern exists of suppressing American’s rights to the first amendment and also violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. This is the third such investigation since the beginning of President Biden’s administration.

The probe will also seek to determine if the practices of the police department, “violates the rights of individuals experiencing homelessness by seizing and disposing of their belongings in a manner that violates the Constitution.” The probe will determine if the federal government requires the city to enter into a consent decree to make changes to the issues alleged within the department.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For officials in the Justice Department as they investigate complaints regarding law enforcement.
  • That the president’s administration would assist police departments in the reform of policies that violate citizens’ rights.
