National Parks Service Upgrades to Begin This Fall

Interior Department celebrates “Great American Outdoors Act” anniversary.

The National Parks Service announced the first phase of funding under the Great American Outdoors Act of 2020 will be available for priority repairs starting in October. The act provides funding for land and water conservation as well as restoration of national parks, public lands, and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure.

On Wednesday, the Department of the Interior offered free admission to everyone visiting national parks. This move was in celebration of the one-year anniversary of the signing of the Great American Outdoors Act that supports outdoor recreation for all Americans. In commemoration of the bipartisan bill, the Interior Department honored August 4 as “Great American Outdoors Day.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For officials of the Interior Department as they steward lands for Americans to enjoy.
  • For the Interior secretary as she leads the department in caring for God’s creation.
